day 7

Legendary jockey Tony McCoy broke yet another record at Plumpton yesterday by riding his 3,000 winner over the jumps.
The thirteen times champion reached the milestone aboard Nicky Hendersons Restless D' artex
in the Beginners Chase.
After a success earlier in the day on Hello Moscow McCoy and Miss Sarenne agonisingly crashed out at the last when well in control of the Mares'Novices' Hurdle.
Born in County Antrim in 1974 McCoy became the all time winning most jumps jockey in Britain, beating Richard Dunwood's record of 1,699 when scoring on Mighty Monofesto at Uttoxeter on August 27 2002. He also eclipsed Sir Gordon Richards' record total of 269 winners in a season on Valfonic at Warwick in April, 2002.
McCoy said 'its' not something I'm going to play down-I am ecstatic. All 3,000 winners have taken lots of hard work.
It's very easy to get driven are lucky to enough to do a job you love.
